About OpenMath
OpenMath is not a textbook. It is a working demonstration, built by ATAILA to answer a question we are asked constantly: what can these models actually deliver — not in a demo video, but as a real product with a database, an admin portal, a public website and real-time multiplayer that has to hold up when a whole class logs in at once?
Two things here were generated, not written
Worth separating them, because they came from different machines doing different jobs.
- The application
- Programmed by ATAILA Coder, our on-premises coding solution — an agentic coder driving open-weight models on our own GPUs, not a hosted assistant. The API, the database schema, the quiz engine, the admin portal and this website came out of it.
- The practice content
- Written by a large language model running on our own servers. The quiz types, the question wording and the explanations are machine-generated — in Hungarian and English, from the same model.
All of it ran on hardware we own and operate. Nothing was sent to a public AI service, and no data left our racks.
The honest part
Nobody hand-checked every question on this site. It is machine-generated, and we are telling you so up front.
But math is not a recipe. An untested recipe fails quietly and expensively — you find out after you have wasted an evening and the ingredients. A sum does not have that failure mode: every answer here is either right or wrong, the app grades it on the spot against arithmetic rather than against an opinion, and a question that came out wrong is obvious the moment you look at it. That is why this site says try it where a generated recipe site has to say do not.
So: if you love math, or you are teaching someone who does, we genuinely recommend giving it a go. And if you do spot a question that is off, we want to hear about it — that feedback is the most useful thing anyone can send us.
What we will publish next
The quizzes are the least interesting thing here. The interesting part is the path from an idea to a running product: the coding agent, the model tiers behind it, the metering, and the platform that provisioned the whole project. We will publish that reference architecture, because it is the part you would actually be buying. Some of it is already written up in how it's built.
That is the claim this site exists to support: these days, if you can describe it clearly, it can be built — on your own hardware, with your data staying where it is.
